Clomid is an inhibitor to induce an ovulation. Clomid works in the hypothalamus where it competes for estrogen. When these binding sites are occupied by Clomid, the hypothalamus produces more gonadotropin-releasing hormone stimulating the hypophysis to produce Follicle-stimulating hormone.
